This is impressive but perhaps slightly less well-balanced than either the Charmes or the Latricières

Aurage other_regions_italy Aglianico and PiedirossoDeep garnet with bricky rim. More lifted than the 2007, deliciously spiced on the nose, a succulent spicy sweetness and just a hint of maturity in those mulched leaf notes. Structure is a little firmer here, both in the tannins and the acidity but even so it is really harmonious and elegant on the long finish. Moreish and mouth watering. Oak now nicely in the background. (JH)
